Whilst studying my MA degree I was lucky enough to meet the Co-Founder and VFX Director of the studio Painting Practice - Dan May.
We had a detailed discussion on virtual reality, where it's going and how it can be utilized in many areas. After showcasing some previous work I had done, he offered me a freelance position at Painting Practice to work on the 'His Dark Materials'. It was one of those in the right place at the right time moments as I never thought it would be possible to take my VR skills into television, but I also believe my passion for VR really got me into this position.
Working alongside a very skilled VR designer, I assisted in the development of pre-vis VFX on His Dark Materials.
